Worship that is
true and God-honoring is derived solely from God's Word for
the sake of God's glory. We believe that public worship is a
gathering of God's people before the presence of the Lord
forged in a relationship made possible through Jesus Christ
the Son of God. We desire to express ourselves to God in
reverence, joy, authenticity, truthfulness, devotion,
passion, love and thankfulness. While there is liberty in
the specific styles or forms of worship, Calvary has adopted
a more traditional style of worship that has incorporated
some songs of worship that have a Gospel-centered,
contemporary flavor to them. Calvary also practices weekly
communion for the building up of Christ's Church. The
preaching of God's Word is Christ-centered, Biblical and
founded upon the Gospel of Grace. We value the corporate
confession of sin and receiving the assurance of God's
forgiveness that comes to us through the finished work of
Jesus our Savior. United with the church throughout all
ages, we offer praise to the Father, Son and Holy Spirit as
a foretaste of the heavenly worship that will one day occur
when all God's children are reunited in His presence for all
eternity.
